At Medicetics we use Skinpen, an industry-leading micro-needling device that allows our team to control the treatment intensity to best suit your skin concerns and goals. When the tiny needles in the pen device puncture the skin, the skin is ‘tricked’ into naturally producing collagen and elastin to repair itself to help achieve smoother and firmer skin.

Microneedling is a relatively painless treatment, however, we do recommend using a numbing cream to manage any discomfort associated with the procedure.

Am I Suitable For Skinpen Microneedling Treatment?

Microneedling is a great option to restore your youthful glow, reduce scarring and improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It can even help reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Speak to our team today to discuss your desired skin goals.

How many Skinpen Microneedling Treatments will I need?

You will see results within 6 weeks after your first treatment, and we would normally recommend a course of 3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart. This will depend on your personal skin concerns and goals, so please do speak to our team to discuss.

How long do the results last?

Acne scarring and stretch mark improvements are permanent. Rejuvenating results will last approximately 12 months.

Is Skinpen Microneedling safe?

Yes, and the Medicetics team possess expert knowledge and training. It is not suitable for those with keloid scarring or who are immunocompromised with delayed wound healing.

Aftercare and Recovery

Directly after the procedure, your skin may appear red and flushed, and your skin may feel sensitive to the touch. These side effects tend to dissipate 24-48hours after the procedure. Dryness and mild flaking may persist for around 5 days.

You should ensure you wear SPF every day after your treatment.
